ACT
OF REPARATION TO THE
MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Pope Pius XI
O
most loving Jesus, whose immense love for men
is repaid by so much forgetfulness, negligence
and contempt, behold us prostrate before your
altar. We are eager to repair, by a special
act of homage, the cruel indifference and injuries
to which Your loving heart is everywhere subjected.
We
ourselves have had a share in such great indignities,
which we now deplore from the depths of our
hearts. We humbly ask your pardon and declare
our readiness to atone by voluntary penance
not only for our own personal offenses, but
also for the sins of those, who, straying far
from the path of salvation, refuse in their
obstinate infidelity to follow You, their Shepherd
and Leader, or renouncing the vows of their
baptism, have cast off the sweet yoke of Your
law.
And
we intend to expiate all such deplorable crimes,
we propose to repair each one in particular:
| |
immodesty
in dress and actions,
the many seductions to ensnare the feet
of the innocent,
the violation of Sundays and holy days,
the horrible blasphemies uttered against
You and Your saints,
the insults hurled at Your Vicar and Your
Priests,
The negligence and horrible sacrileges
by which the very sacrament of Your love
is profaned,
and finally the public crimes of all nations
who resist the rights and the teaching
authority of the Church which You have
founded. |
|
If
only we could with our blood wash away such
abominations! And now, in reparation for these
violations of Your divine honor, we offer
the satisfaction that You once made on the
cross to Your Father, and which You renew
daily on our altars. We offer it in union
with the expiation of Your Virgin Mother,
all the saints and of all the devout faithful
on earth. We promise sincerely to repair,
as far as we are able, with the help of Your
grace, the neglect of Your great love, and
for the sins we and others have committed
in the past: by a firm faith, an innocent
life, the observance of the law of charity;
and we promise to prevent others with all
our powers from offending You and to bring
as many as possible to follow You.
O
loving Jesus, through the intercession of
the Blessed Virgin Mary, our model in reparation,
deign to receive the voluntary offering we
make of this act of reparation. By the crowning
gift of perseverance keep us faithful until
death in our duty and in the allegiance we
owe to You, so that we may all one day come
to that happy home, where You with the Father
and the Holy Spirit live and reign God, world
without end. Amen.

CONSECRATE OURSELVES TO YOU, HOLY SPIRIT
Holy
Spirit, Divine Spirit of light and love, we consecrate
to You our understanding, our heart and our whole
self for time and eternity. May our understanding
be always submissive to Your heavenly inspirations
and to the teachings of the holy Catholic Church.
You are the infallible guide!
May
our heart be always inflamed with the love of
God and of our neighbor. May our will be always
submissive to the divine will, and our whole life
be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him and

Couples
for Christ Foundation for Family and Life
Consecration to our Blessed Mother Mary
We kneel before you, as you yourself sit at
the throne room of God, beside our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, your Son. You more than
anyone else embody the pure love for our Lord
Jesus that we all desire to have, as you bore
him in your womb, gave birth to him, raised
him, suffered with him through the cross, and
finally witnessed his resurrection. You are
the one whose soul perfectly proclaims the greatness
of the Lord, whose spirit perfectly rejoices
in God our Savior. You are the one we and all
ages will call blessed.
You are the highly favored one, and the Lord
is truly with you. We thus look to you to be
our mediatrix, as we continue on our journey
in the world, proclaiming your Son Jesus and
bringing his good news of salvation to all.
We recognize our weakness and sinfulness, and
that apart from the power of God’s Spirit
we can do nothing.
Dear Mother Mary, you are our inspiration for
the strengthening of families and the promotion
of the culture of life. Pray and intercede for
us always, that we may remain faithful to our
covenant, steadfast in our work, persevering
despite trials and crosses, and always mindful
of the call to holiness and discipleship. You
who are holy and you who are the most faithful
disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ, keep us in
your loving embrace always.
We consecrate ourselves, our families and our
work to you. Bless us, dear Mother, and journey
with us, as we continue to journey with your
beloved Son Jesus. You are our mother, and we
are your children, now and forever. Amen.
Hail Mary …

HAIL,
HOLY QUEEN
Hail,
Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness,
and our hope! To you we cry, poor banished children
of Eve; to you we send up our sighs, mourning
and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then,
O most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward
us, and after our exile, show unto us the fruit
of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet
Virgin Mary. |
THE
MEMORARE
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was
it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help and sought your intercession,
was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence,
I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you I come; before you I stand, sinful and
sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise
not my petition, but in your mercy hear and
answer me. Amen

| PRAYER
FOR PRIESTS
by St. Mary Faustina Kowalska
O
my Jesus, we beg You on behalf of the whole Church:
grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and
give power to the words of priests, so that hardened
hearts might be brought to repentance and return
to You.
Lord,
give us holy priests: You Yourself maintain them
in holiness.
O
Divine and great High Priest, may the power of
Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect
them from the devil's traps and snares, which
are continually being set for the souls of priests.
May
the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring
to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity
of priests, for You can do all things.
We
ask You, Jesus, for a special blessing and for
light for (here mention the name of your confessor
or parish priest) and all the priests before
whom we will make our confessions throughout our
lifetime. Amen.

PRAYER
FOR PRIESTS
by Richard Cardinal Cushing
O
Almighty Eternal God, look upon the face of
your Son, and for love of Him who is the Eternal
High Priest have pity on Your priests. Remember,
O most compassionate God, that they are but
weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them
the grace of their vocation which is in them
by the imposition of the Bishop's hands. Keep
them close to You, lest the enemy prevail against
them, so that they may never do anything in
the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime
vocation
O
Jesus, I pray for Your faithful and fervent
priests; for Your unfaithful and tepid priest;
for Your priests laboring at home or abroad
in distant mission fields; for Your tempted
priests; for the lonely and desolate priests;
for Your young priests; for Your dying priests;
for the souls of Your priests in Purgatory.
But
above all, I commend to You the priests dearest
to me; the priest who baptized me; the priests
who absolved me from my sins; the priests at
whose Masses I assisted and who gave me Your
Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests
who taught or instructed me or helped and encouraged
me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in
any other way. O Jesus, keep them all close
to Your heart, and bless them abundantly in
time and in eternity. Amen.

PRAYER
TO ST. MICHAEL
by Pope Leo XIII
Saint
Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and
snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we
humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly
Host -by the Divine Power of God - cast into
hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam
throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

LORD,
MAKE ME AN INSTRUMENT OF YOUR PEACE
by St. Francis of Assisi
Lord,
make me an instrument of your peace. Where there
is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury,
pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there
is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O
Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood
as to understand; to be loved as to love; for
it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning
that we are pardoned; and in dying that we are
born to eternal life.
|
| PRAYER
FOR PEACE
Lord
Jesus, we come to you in our need.
Create
in us an awareness of the massive forces of conflict
that threaten our world today. And grant us a
sense of urgency to activate the forces of goodness,
of justice, of love, and of peace.
Where
there is armed conflict, let us stretch out our
arms to our brothers and sisters. Where there
is abundance, let there be simple lifestyle and
sharing. Where there is poverty, let there be
dignified living and constant striving for just
structures. Where there is selfish ambition, let
there be humble service. Where there is injustice,
let there be atonement. Where there is despair,
let there be hope in the Good News. Where there
are wounds of division, let there be unity and
wholeness.
Help
us to be committed to the building of Your kingdom,
not seeking to be cared for but to care; not expecting
to be served but to place ourselves in the service
of others; not aspiring to be materially secure
but to place our security in your love.
Teach
us Your spirit, for it is only in loving imitation
of You, Lord, that we can discover the healing
springs of life that will bring about new birth
to the earth and hope for the world. Amen.

Lady, Queen of Peace. Pray for us.|

FOR THE EUCHARIST AND MARIAN YEAR
Lord
Jesus Christ, We celebrate a year of Grace, A
year we dedicate to the Holy Eucharist, and to
the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Mother.
We need to experience as a nation the transforming
power of the Eucharist and the loving care of
Mary, our Mother.
For
we are a wounded people, wounded by political
conflicts and tribal wars, wounded by unjust socio-economic
divisions, wounded by corruption and moral degeneration.
Lord Jesus Christ, as often as we celebrate the
Holy Eucharist, we remember how much you love
us. Let the Eucharist help us to work together
as a people, so that in every home, barangay,
town and city all may live in a culture of peace,
unity and renewal.
As
we journey together in this year of Grace toward
national healing and reconciliation, Lord Jesus
Christ, we believe in the transforming power of
the Eucharist. And we trust in the loving care
of Mary, our Mother. Grant then in your tender
mercy. What we ask for in faith, hope and love.
Amen.
Our
Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
San Lorenzo Ruiz, pray for us.
That in all things, God may be glorified.

PRAYER
FOR THE FAMILY
Lord
God, from You every family in heaven and on earth
takes its name.
Father,
You are Love and Life. Through Your Son, Jesus
Christ, born of woman, and through the Holy Spirit,
fountain of divine charity, grant that every family
on earth may become for each successive generation
a true shrine of life and love.
Grant
that Your grace may guide the thoughts and actions
of husbands and wives for the good of their families
and of all the families in the world.
Grant
that the young may find in the family solid support
for their human dignity and for their growth in
truth and love.
Grant
that love, strengthened by the grace of God's
undying love, may prove mightier than all the
weaknesses and trails through which our families
sometimes pass.
Through
the intercession of the Holy Family of Nazareth
grant that the Church may fruitfully carry out
her worldwide mission in the family and through
the family.
Through
Christ, our Lord, who is the Way, the Truth and
the Life forever. Amen.

FOR THE UNBORN
PRAYER FOR THE VICTIMS OF
ABORTION AND CONTRACEPTIVE-ABORTIFACIENTS
Almighty
Father, Author of life, we turn to you during
these times when there are serious threats to
the sanctity of life and stability of the family.
You sent your Son, Jesus Christ, the "Resurrection
and the Life," born into a human family for
our salvation.
Today,
on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, we celebrate
the conception of Jesus in the womb of the Blessed
Virgin Mary. Today, also, we pray for all the
unborn. We commend to your Divine Mercy the souls
of the victims of direct and chemical abortions.
As we celebrate the beginning of the life of Jesus,
we also grieve for the many human beings who were
rejected, aborted, killed in the womb, not given
a chance to be born and have a decent life. We
cry at this ongoing human tragedy.
Lord,
we ask for the courage to defend life, to protect
life from moment of conception to natural death.
We also ask to enlighten our legislators to enact
laws not contrary to Your Divine Will to uphold
life's inviolability and family values. We pray
also for our health workers so that conscience
may guide them in their work. Also in advocacy
against anti-life bills and contraceptive-abortifacient
programs, we implore the aid of the Communion
of Saints in our battle against the culture of
death. Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Our
Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Holy Innocents, pray for us.
San Lorenzo Ruiz, pray for us.
That in all things, God may be glorified. |
LITANY
OF HUMILITY
by Cardinal Merry del Val
O
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, hear me.
|
| From
the desire of being esteemed-
From the desire of being loved-
From the desire of being extolled-
From the desire of being honored-
From the desire of being praised-
From the desire of being preferred to others-
From the desire of being consulted-
From the desire of being approved-
From the fear of being humilitated-
From the fear of being despised-
From the fear of suffering rebukes-
From the fear of being calumniated-
From the fear of being forgotten-
From the fear of being ridiculed-
From the fear of being wronged-
From the fear of being suspected-
|
Deliver
me, Jesus.
|
That
others may be loved more than I-
That others may be esteemed more than I-
That in the opinion of the world, others
may increase, and I may decrease-
That others may be chosen and I set aside-
That others may be praised and I unnoticed-
That others may be preferred to me in everything-
That others may became holier than I, provided
that I may become as holy as I should-
|
Jesus,
grant me the grace to desire it. |
