The
day after my wife Lisa and I stepped
down and separated from the CFC- IC
Area Council of Cavite, the first
thing I told her rising from bed is
that from today we just need to move
forward. Knowing that having an office
was an important link to coordinate
the separation in the province and
at the same time insure continued
support to brethren in their evangelization
needs, we immediately set about to
find an office which, through the
Lord's goodness, He gave us on the
same day we went around to inquire.
We
took over the unit F / 2nd floor office
at De Castro Bldg along Aguinaldo
Highway Panapaan just a stone's throw
away from SM Bacoor Cavite, empty
and bare of any furnishings. But after
a call for help was made to brethren,
who responded so generously, we manage
to complete the basic office furnishings
in a weeks' time (including two sets
of computers donated!) to allow us
to have the blessing on the 23rd of
September.
The blessing with a thanksgiving mass
and bible enthronement was celebrated
by Fr. Jojo Abueg, Spiritual Director
of the Missionaries of Charity Novitiate
in Cavite , who spoke about the two
works of spiritual nourishment and
social outreach being twin cheeks
of evangelization, but with the admonishment
that the spiritual should take precedence
over the social work. The jam-packed
event attended mostly by leaders and
Mission Core members spilled over
up to the walkway of the building
not only of people but of food donated
by brothers and sisters! Also present
were brethren from Manila led by Bro.
Lachie Agana and Nonong Contreras
who were ask to stand as "sponsors"
of the blessing. A team from CFC-FFL
Isabela was also there brought by
Bro. Narcing Eguia to witness the
occasion.
The
affirmation of the Lord of that momentous
occasion was confirmed through a reading
early that morning during my prayer
time when the Lord said:
"I
will take delight in doing good
things for them;
I will establish them firmly in
this land"
Jer 32:41
It was truly a day that the Lord has
made as He firmly established the
central link from which CFC-FFL moves
forward with its evangelization work
in the Diocese!
